One of the assistantships I did at Florida State was working in the prop shop. I had always enjoyed working with props on  special projects because the department worked with every material under the sun. Working at the PA Renaissance Faire, I enjoyed the controlled chaotic nature of the shop and enjoyed working in the FSU prop shop as well. Sometimes, I was able to draft up projects. Most of the time, it was just napkin sketch and off to the races.
